Ocean Crabbing Closes Oct. 16

Ocean crabbing to close October 16-November 30.

The last day to add crabbing to a half day rockfish trip is Thursday, Oct. 15. After that, we will not have crabbing available on any trips until it reopens on Dec. 1. Crabbing in the bay remains open year-round, but we do not drop our charter pots in the bay or do bay crabbing charters. We have a couple of ocean crabbing trips with room left before the ocean closure, and we can add more to the schedule for groups of  or more. Crabbing in October has been good so far with trips averaging 8-10 crab per person.

Boat rentals and crab ring rentals for use in the bay are available through Newport Marina Store.
