It’s affordable, beginner-friendly, action-packed, and one of the tastiest fisheries on the Oregon Coast. Catch Lingcod in Oregon While Bottom Fishing!

Every fish has it’s flavor-able characteristic and Oregon’s bottom fish are no exception. Also called rockfishing, this trip is near shore and uses light tackle. This is a great trip for anyone new to fishing and for those who have fished their whole lives. With Yaquina Bay Charters, we’ll take you to some of the best near shore reefs where you’ll find a variety of fish including sea bass, sea trout, cabazon and the much sought after lingcod. If you want to really round it off, add Dungeness crabbing to your trip.

*** Bottom fish are great for fish and chips, sautéed, baked, barbequed, or added to a Ciopinno. Mild in flavor, rock fish are a welcome meal for even novice seafood eaters.

Full Day Long Leader Rockfish

The long leader fishery was developed as an option to fish for species of rockfish that we don’t normally access on traditional bottom fishing trips. This style of fishing requires a 30 ft. leader with a non-compressible float. We target shelf rockfish species including Yellow Tail, Widow Rock Fish, Canary, Bocaccio and Silver Grey’s and more. The bag limit is 10 rockfish per person. No lingcod can be retained on this trip.
