This trip is in deep water approximately 10-15 miles from shore. Many anglers prefer to take this trip in the summer and into fall when the deep water holds the best chance for prized Lingcod. The standard rockfish bag limit applies: 2026: 4 rockfish and 3 lingcod.

The long leader fishery was developed as an option to fish for species of rockfish that we don’t normally access on traditional bottom fishing trips. This style of fishing requires a 30 ft. leader with a non-compressible float. We target shelf rockfish species including Yellow Tail, Widow Rock Fish, Canary, Bocaccio and Silver Grey’s and more. The bag limit is 10 rockfish per person. No lingcod can be retained on this trip.
