Don’t miss Pacific Halibut season without taking a Yaquina Bay Charters fishing trip! During this charter you’ll split your time fishing rockfish and halibut. Enjoy both types of fishing in one day. This trip fishes for Halibut nearshore, which means you are fishing in 240 ft of water or less. Catching halibut is very possible on this trip, but the catch rate for nearshore is much less successful than an offshore trip with depths of 400-600 ft. Nearshore Halibut often produces petrale sole, flounder, and/or sand dabs in addition to any halibut.
Crabbing can be added to this trip for $25 if weather permits.
Each person fishing our our trip will be able to fish simultaneously. No one has to share a fishing rod or wait for their turn. At times when one rod “gets hot” and is hooking a lot of fish, that rod with get passed around to passengers who haven’t caught yet to give everyone a fair chance at landing their own catch.
