ODFW Free Fishing Weekend June 7-8

Coming up this Saturday and Sunday is another Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) Free Fishing weekend!

On Free Fishing Weekends, you don’t need a license to fish, crab or clam anywhere in Oregon. That’s no license, no combined angling tag, no endorsement needed. While there’s no need for a license, all current regulations and closures still apply. Get out and enjoy your local waterways or come visit us on the Oregon Coast to take advantage of the fee-free days, and consider inviting a friend or family member to introduce them to fishing, clamming, or crabbing! Yaquina Bay Charters has just a couple spots remaining for Halibut on Saturday, and weather is looking a little iffy. If we’re not able to get out for Halibut we will open up the boats for Half Day Rockfish & Lingcod (with crabbing available) by Friday mid-day.

Want to stick to the bay? Crab ring rentals are available at Newport Marina Store through the weekend.
