Hi Scott, for the 28th-30th of May bottom fishing will be the most available option. The all-depth halibut season will not re-open until the 31st - June 2nd, but the inshore halibut season will be open. However, we do need a minimum number of people to take out an inshore halibut trip, and those are sometimes difficult to arrange on weekdays this time of year. The chinook salmon season is also open this month, and so far the catch results have been much better than in previous years. It does also have a minimum number we'd need to get out there though, so depending on the size of your group we could be able to make it work. Give us a call at the office for more information 541-265-6800

Wondering about your availabilty for 28 May to 30 May. What opportunities may be available, species and etc., especially whether salmon and halibut might be biting.

You might be able to decide based on how long you're interested in being out on the water. Our Salmon trips are either 6 or 8 hours and our tuna trips are 12 hours. The salmon trips run between $85 and $115 while a tuna trip is $210 per person. Usually avid fishermen really enjoy the tuna trips as so many of them are able to go for a lot of salmon fishing in the rivers in the area, so when they ocean fish they go for other species. However, the upcoming September 1-10 salmon season is highly anticipated to be great fishing, so it's really depending on what you prefer to catch and what you prefer to eat! I can't answer all the tackle questions for you, but I recommend you send us an email through our contact form on our website and we'll have one of our captains answer those questions for you. Thanks!

No, our salmon fishing trips are in the ocean, but there are river guides in the area who will be fishing for salmon in the next month. We also do not have any shorter salmon trips than 6 hours.

Dock to dock. Usually takes about 1 hour per 20 miles we go out and we go as far as 60 miles in a 12 hour trip. So if you were going maximum distance you'd have 6 hours of travel time and 6 hours of fishing time. Currently we're going about 35-40 miles.
