Coho Salmon Update

Although the salmon season had a slow opener the fishing has picked up a lot in the last couple of days. The Gracie K has been catching a lot of fish. Yesterday, 12 customers brought in 19 salmon and lost another 14. They were able to keep 2. This was on a 10 hour combination trip with rock fish. Rock Fish were plentiful and lingcod fishing was good as well. Salmon trips are still available through September 3rd. 2018 Salmon!

The 2018 coho salmon season will run from June 30th through September 3rd. The Non-Selective season that will allow you to keep both fin clipped and native coho salmon will open up on September 7th. We run half day 6-7 hour trips and full day 8-9 hour trips. We also offer a 10 hour salmon and rock fish combo trip. Prices are listed below. Fishing Update for 9/2 and 9/3

FISHING UPDATE! The coho salmon season opened up on Saturday Sept. 2nd. The Gracie K had a great day with limits for all ten people on board and a lot of crab caught too. The Jana Sea also have a fabulous trip for salmon and rock fish. They limited on rock fish, salmon and crab for the 5 fishermen. The CrackerJack had early limits for rock fish with 8-10 crab per person. On Sunday Sept. 3rd the CrackerJack caught limits of salmon for all on board. FISHING UPDATE

Now that August is here we want to update you with what fishing we have available for the next couple of months. Nearshore halibut has closed as of July 30th. The quota has been reached for the Central Oregon Coast. The Coho salmon season closed on Monday and will open up again starting on September 2nd. The tuna fish have been in and out of range through out July. We expect them to be in range through the month of September. Currently we are fishing for rock fish, crab and tuna (when they are in range). We have seen excellent fish counts for rock fish and crab in the last month. Bay crabbing is also very good right now.
