Join Yaquina Bay Charters for Halibut Fishing in Oregon!

These trips venture out about 20 to 30 miles offshore in deep water, typically 400-600 ft. Halibut meat is a Pacific Northwest delicacy seen on most restaurant menus in the Newport area and hundreds of miles inland. While most people enjoy battered halibut and chips, it is also excellent as grilled steaks, filleted and sautéed or smoked.

The Crackerjack and Gracie K are 43 ft. long Deltas and will accommodate up to 12 fisherman each comfortably, as will the 43 ft. Miss Raven and the 49 ft. Umatilla II. The Spindrift is a 37 ft. Delta and accommodates up to 10 anglers comfortably.

Each person fishing will be able to fish at the same time. No one has to share a fishing rod or wait their turn. “Hot rods” hooking many fish will be passed to those who don’t yet have fish to give them an equal chance to land themselves a halibut. Go by yourself, with friends or with family. Private charters are available.

Crabbing is included on our Offshore halibut trips, weather permitting. Anyone crabbing needs to have an Oregon shellfish license to participate.
