We’re still doing pretty well on tuna, but the numbers are going up and down every day. We’re averaging about 2-3 fish per person now. We have trips going out every day almost if not two and this weekend is especially busy with both boats running 4 trips in a row. We have 1 spot available on Wednesday, 2 spots Thursday, Sunday, and Tuesday, and 6 spots next Wednesday.
The Coho Salmon run is closed now until September 1-3, but we are still running Chinook trips. The all-depth Halibut season is officially closed for the rest of the year, but the inshore (inside 40 fathoms) has re-opened for the time being. Bottom fishing is still open and at a limit of 7 rockfish and 2 ling cod, but retention of cabezon is not permitted now.
Give our office a call if you’d like to set up your trip. It’s highly ...

No giant halibut to see this weekend, but the fishing was good and steady and the weather was absolutely fantastic! We will find out if any back up halibut dates will open within a week or so and we’ll post them here.
In case you haven’t been to the office yet this year then you haven’t been able to see our new boat, the Gracie K. The Crackerjack and Gracie K are almost exactly the same, so we refer to them as the twins and are very pleased to have added the GK to our fleet! Both boats can reach the tuna grounds and get poles in the water within 2 – 3 hours if the fish are between 40 and 60 miles offshore. Can’t wait for tuna season!

Had a nice weekend with the exception of a busted fuel pump on the Gracie K on Saturday (minor fix, back up and running today). We landed three Halibut over 60lbs on Saturday and three fatty Cabbies over 12 lbs(Cabezon) on a bottom fishing trip Sunday. The last regular Halibut weekend is this Thursday through Saturday and we do not know if we’re going to get any more days until August — also just a note that we book a lot of Tuna trips on Fridays and Saturdays in August, so Summer Halibut trips are much harder to come by unless you book early!
Remember bottom fishing is available daily and Coho Salmon opens on July 2nd!

The next Halibut weekend is this Thursday-Saturday the 2nd-4th and next weekend the 9th-11th is the final open weekend of the regular season. The Saturdays only have a few spots left, but the Thursdays and Fridays still have several spaces available. Give us a call to take your shot at a big Halibut!

Opening Halibut weekend was a success!! Limits and crew fish every day. Click on “read entire article” to see pictures in this post. Biggest of the weekend was 54 inches, which is about 78lbs. Very nice for the Oregon Coast!
All depth Halibut is open again the 26th-29th, June 2nd-4th, and 9th-11th!
