Covid-19 Update

We’ve had a few concerned people checking in with us in regards to the Covid-19 cases at the Pacific Seafood Company in Newport. Our charter business has no direct contact with their business. As of today, we do not believe our employees have had personal contact with the employees at Pacific Seafood. We are taking precautions outlined by the state and county to keep our staff and costumers safe. Below we have attached our Covid-19 procedures that are sent to each customer before fishing with us. If you have any questions regarding your trip please contact our office directly either by phone 541-265-6800 or by email at fishing@yaquinabaycharters.com.

“Yaquina Bay Charters
In order to follow the Covid-19 regulations set by the State of Oregon and keep our staff and customers safe we have changed some of our procedures. Please read this information and pass it along to each person in your party before your trip. If you have concerns about your trip please contact us. This is a difficult situation for everyone, and we are all trying to adapt. As the situation changes, we will do the same. At anytime there could be significant changes in guidance by health officials and we will do our best to adopt their advice.

Check in Procedures
We will not have a physical check in at the office in the morning. We will be calling each group the day before your trip to check in, make payments, and give out boat assignments. You should plan to hear from us between 3pm and 6pm the day before your trip. If the captain feels that the weather forecast looks good the day before you may hear from us earlier in the day. Please wait for us to call you to check in.

We will temporarily not be providing morning coffee for the passengers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Parking: We will still have parking permits for everyone. You can swing by the window on the South side of the office for them.

Boat Procedures
Masks are recommended, but not required for your trip. We will not provide passengers with masks. Your crew will be wearing protective equipment.
While fishing on board each group will be separated by 6 feet. We ask that you maintain 6 feet distance from anyone not in your group.
We are limiting the amount of people in the cabin at one time. We strongly recommend that you bring warm clothes AND rain gear. You may not be able to enter the cabin even if it is raining and cold. The restroom will still be available, but it will be sanitized after every use.

Fillet Services After Your Trip
Fillet services are available on the dock when you return. This is a separate business and is CASH ONLY.
Please maintain 6 feet social distancing while on the dock and have only one person from your party on the dock to pick up your fish.

Covid -19 Symptoms and Cancellations
We ask that anyone who is experiencing the following symptoms or who has had contact with someone with Covid-19 to please contact the office ASAP and stay home.
Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell

The local community is very concerned about the spread of Covid-19 from incoming visitors. Due to this fact we ask that you shop in your local community and show up fully prepared to limit exposure in our local stores.
If you are unable to fish with us due to these symptoms we will work with you and your group, but if you do not check in with us the day before your trip and/or do not show up for your trip we will charge full price. ”
