A group of us (Oregon Hunter Education Instructors) would like to go fishing for tuna. I need some information from you to get the guys and gals together.

When is the best tuna fishing, we can fish from middle July to the middle of August?

What is the cost per person? We might have 5 or so unless we get a break for more.

    How long is the trip?

    Thanks,
    Steve-

    Hi Steve,
Did you get a response from Capt. Jack on this question? I’m not sure he saw your comment, so if not you can get more information by calling the office at 541-265-6800 or using the contact form on the website.

The best tuna fishing is usually in August as long as weather cooperates. Your group’s timing is pretty well lined up with the tuna run. Last year’s cost was $210 per person but this year because of fuel prices we will have a fuel surcharge ranging from $10 to $20 per person. We limit the boat to 10 people unless you are all one group and want to take more. Unfortunately we only offer discounts on the full boat rate.

    Hope this helps! Thanks!
    Lauren
