Schoolkids and Fog

Our whale watching trip with the Newport Middle School kids went out on Tuesday. We teamed up with Captain Dave and the Enterprise to take nearly 200 kids out for some of their first experiences on the ocean! We were very happy to be part of that learning experience for them. Thanks to our old captain Bob for arranging the trip!

This week in Newport has been pretty foggy. Here’s a picture of what the bay looked like on Wednesday morning. I can’t see anything past the marina wall… can you??

Here’s to hoping the sun breaks through this weekend!

Just another reminder, this Saturday is the last day of Halibut season until ODFW announces the remaining weekends which will probably be June 18-20 and July 2-4. Also keep that Salmon season opener on your calendar! June 20th, 3 per person!!!
